statement by carter regarding music:
My record revolves mostly around the themes of:
-the galactic adventures of space boy
-growing obsession with a perceived decline in mental health
-lack of control in your own life and an inability to help the people struggling around you
-leaving the past behind you
-growing up with drug addiction in the family and the pressures and fears that come from that
-the deep sea and the spooky critters that reside in it.
It's often very personal and I hope that the listener can reflect on the music and can find ways to connect and learn about themselves through their own introspection (most of my own rambling thoughts come from spacing out and listening to music after all ) I also often feel lonely in that I feel "crazy" and hope others who feel the same way will see they aren't alone and that we are all "crazy" in various ways and we should not be set back by it. When you are facing challenges it's always best to embrace the chance to learn and find healthy ways through them and not alternatively embrace escapism and other distractions.
Most of my music in general comes from self deprecating and critical introspection and I try to balance that out with humor or non sequiturs as I know not to take myself too seriously. As I am just an ol space boy afterall

Since 1991, music fans far and wide have recognized the Crocodile as Seattle's best live music venue. There is no other spot in the 206 with such a storied and beloved past, and no other rock and roll venue that has earned its right to occupy the hearts of so many.
Incredible bands played within the walls of Belltown's much loved living room. Including: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Cheap Trick, R.E.M., Mudhoney, and Yoko Ono.
