Bambu
Bambu
Bambu is a father, MC and community organizer. Raised in Los Angeles, as a young boy he experienced a life that other rappers have glorified, but rarely experienced. As he navigated through a turbulent youth, Bambu turned around the destructive energy that surrounded him and poured it into making music. Bambu has been lauded by his fans and contemporaries for his lyrical storytelling abilities. Whether fictional or autobiographical, his vividly-detailed narratives are characterized by an honesty that is equal parts brutal, thought-provoking and liberating. Bambu music is not for mere performance – he utilizes his music as a tool for a larger goal – to reach and support youth who face similar issues that he did, and move them to question what goes on in the world. Bambu has reached audiences across the country and internationally with his explosive and engaging live performance. Being paired on concert billings with such acts as Immortal Technique, Blue Scholars, Zion I, Psycho Realm, dead prez, Evidence, Atmosphere and Brother Ali, to name a few, has afforded Bambu the opportunity to garner fans from varying demographics. With a catalog of music stretching the span of ten-years, the Los Angeles emcee has allowed his fans to witness the growth of a gracefully honest artist, who truly embodies the sentiment of the people.
With DJ Phatrick - who recorded and mixed the album - as the Musical Director for the live version of the album, this show promises to give a landscape of music that has made Bambu one of the best live performers in his genre. A seamless blend of Hip Hop and Guerilla Theater, the high-energy show put together by DJ Phatrick and Bambu will restore your faith in Live Hip Hop again!

Gifted Gab
Gifted Gab
Gifted Gab is Seattle's Queen MC gracing the streets with unmatched levels of style and grace. She embodies the nostalgic culture of 90s Hip Hop through her distinctive flow and lyrical finesse.

Since the moment she was born, “Gabby” Kadushin has spent every moment of her life immersed in music. Growing up in the church and singing along side her Mother in the choir, Gab would spend her extra time studying the radio and memorizing songs after only a couple listens. Outside of church, Michael Jackson and Tupac were her prophetic icons. By the time Gab was nine, she was writing raps about growing up in Seattle’s Central District and pursuing a sound all of her own. She continued to soak up the power and influence of East Coast female MCs like Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Bahamadia while also riding around in cars bumping Bay Area legends like Mac Dre and E-40.

In 2012, Gab released her first EP Queen La’Chiefah under the name Gifted Gab (formerly Gift uh Gab). Emerged was a project showcasing the sophisticated relationships between her wall-to-wall classicist flow and combative, unrestrained love-of-self, codeine-dipped blunts kind of tone. Throughout the composition, Gab provides an unflinching acknowledgement to fallen loved ones and the social ills affecting her surrounding communities. Her influences form her style, but they don’t stunt her scope. No matter the circumstances, Gab will take the stage and rock the crowd either by herself or alongside her peers.

She’s a self-possessed female and first lady among the many men in her crew, Moor Gang, Seattle’s rendition of the Wu-Tang Clan. In March of 2014, Gab dropped her first full-length project titled "Girl Rap" and it quickly gained national success. She's opened for legends such as Dj Quik, Rakim, Cam'ron, and Slick Rick at the cities hottest venues. Furthermore, Gab has been recognized by industry leading media outlets such as, XXL, VH1 and TIME to name a few. You won’t meet another one like her; Gifted Gab has the grind, talent and influence of a Queen ready to take a seat on her throne
Tef Poe
Tef Poe
Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, Kareem Jackson is a rapper and agent for social change. Through his unwavering integrity, sincere rhymes and passionate actions, Kareem – better known as Tef Poe – is changing the musical and social-political landscape.

Tef built his reputation as a battle rapper in St. Louis and has continued to grow and expand his vision to a broader spectrum. Always having penchant for politics and social justice – the subject matter easily found itself laced throughout his music. However, Tef Poe does not consider himself a "conscious rapper". Humans are complex and multidimensional. His music is a reflection of that same human experience. This holistic approach has resulted in a healthy catalog of well received projects.

Tef has had the pleasure of working with the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, Common, I-20, Killer Mike, Royce Da 5'9, and Big Boi. As an independent artist, Tef Poe has successfully broken through internet, radio, and television. Poe has been mentioned in major media outlets such as MSNBC, BET, Noisey, The Source, XXL, Washington Post, New York Times, The Smoking Section, and HipHopDX.com. Tef Poe is also The Source's Unsigned Hype (2012), retired Champion from BET's 106th & Park Freestyle Friday competition (2013)... and even has his own day (August 6th) in the City of Pinelawn, Missouri.

Tef Poe continues to forge his own path as an independent artist... traveling, performing, writing for the Riverfront Times, and actively organizing/fighting for human rights with groups such as Amnesty International, Hands Up United, Organization for Black Struggle, and Justice For Reggie. Tef recorded and released a track titled "Change The World"... and that's exactly what he has set out to do.
