The Flavr Blue
The Flavr Blue
Parker, Hollis and Lace make up The Flavr Blue, a synth-pop trio from Seattle, WA. Following their release of their debut album Pisces in August 2012, The Flavr Blue has been igniting parties from their hometown to New York City with driving bass, catchy melodies, dazzling visuals and a lot of verve. Guided by the voices of all three members, their music ranges from the bright and dreamy to sultry and moody; their live experience, catalyzed by the crowd's energy, is a hella good time.

The Flavr Blue is a sonic departure for each member, who all have considerable experience and achievement within Seattle's dynamic hip-hop and R&B communities. Parker Joe's production and emcee work anchors his crew State of the Artist; Lace Cadence is a seasoned rapper and crooner as a solo artist as well as with his group Clockwork, and is known for his work with Blast Off Productions; Hollis Wong-Wear, one half of the rap duo Canary Sing, also has released work with her acoustic R&B outfit The Heartfelts.

The group began working on music together in the summer of 2011, when Parker and Lace, inspired in part by the bold, hypnotic sounds of contemporary Scandinavian electronic artists, spent long nights collaborating and experimenting with ambient synth production. To complete the last song on the duo's first EP, they invited Hollis in as a feature on a sparkling, house-tinged track that would become the group's signature song "In My Dream." The chemistry was undeniable, and she joined the collective to shape their debut LP.

The video for their first single from Pisces "F X F," debuted on the Swedish blog Discobelle as well as on VEVO, and has nearly 100K views. In Summer 2013, after starting the Spring with performances at SXSW and a sold-out show at Seattle's Barboza, they will bring the flavr to California and the Midwest, in addition to their local performances at Capitol Hill Block Party and Bumbershoot (which is going to be bananas.)
Nightmare Fortress
Nightmare Fortress
“This is the new model of darkness that destroys all, It’s claustrophobic and large at the same time like sharing a cellar with a massive dragon...Nightmare Fortress are vibrating at a very high frequency” – Mishka Blog, New York

Trance inducing sultry vocals, atmospheric guitar, raunchy synth lines and thick beats. Nightmare Fortress is making marks. The live show is an unforgettable stage performance in a perfectly produced soundscape; a one of a kind experience.

This sound formed in 2011 with members Alicia Amiri (vocals), Colin Roper (synth, vocals), Cassidy Gonzales (guitar), and Blair Field (synth, lighting design). All members hail from established former bands Sleepy Eyes of Death, Lovesick Empire, Loving Thunder and Cobra High.

NF have toured the West Coast and are active around the Pacific Northwest. They have supported many notable acts including Crystal Castles, Nikki and the Dove, Austra, Trust, Douglas J. McArthy of Nitzer Ebb, Crypts, A Place to Bury Strangers, Dangerous Boys Club, Tearist, Peter Hook, Cold Cave and KMFDM.

Nightmare Fortress’ premiere EP Until the Air Runs Out was recorded and produced by the band and released on vinyl by Sweating Tapes. Until the Air Runs Out received much ado upon its release, making it on blog lists for best albums of 2012, top 12 albums of the year and 20 best dark albums of 2012.

After releasing their first EP, They unleashed the single "The Soft Kill" on The CryBaby Studios End of The World Comp. They are also featured on Twitch and Gloam: Dark Sounds from the Pacific Northwest and an almost live studio session for Part Time Punks.
Kingdom Crumbs
Kingdom Crumbs
Out of the firmament, miles above Seattle, WA comes KINGDOM CRUMBS—the supercharged nucleus of the Cloud Nice collective. Evoking spirits, talking to ancestors, partying like it’s 9991—the crucial quartet of TAY SEAN, JERM D, MIKEY NICE and JARV DEE make some of the flyest spiritual space-funk to be found in this electronic era.

KINGDOM CRUMBS’ coordinates pinpoint them in the sonic vicinity of Dam-Funk, Thundercat, and Stankonia-era Outkast. All four members contribute voice and game via inspired raps and hooks designed to stimulate the party. Their live show is a new high, as they each orbit through keyboards and vocal effects with slick movements. Leave your bags at the door, enter the Kingdom.

“Kingdom Crumbs is hands-down full-stop one of the very very best groups our town has… Their beautiful self-titled album from August blends the best prog-rap influences (Outkast, Shabazz Palaces), with good old West Coast starchild synth-funk; their live show sparkles with a natural charm and gorgeous, ass-moving music.”- The Stranger

“Formed in 2010, the group—Brown, Jerm D, Mikey Nice and Jarv Dee—is, to use the parlance of the genre, on some next-level shit. Its self-titled debut, released last year, takes the shadowy template of Shabazz Palaces—the act at the forefront of Seattle’s rap avant-garde and whom Brown is currently assisting on tour—and turns up the black lights. – Willamette Week

“The Seattle quartet meld Dungeon Family’s eclectic, synthesized beats and the sharp groove of ’90s West Coast G-Funk into a spacious, heady storm over which the four unique emcees… drop lines that are distinctly Seattle: intriguing and hazy verses over loose but controlled soundscapes… Just like in all things, a lot of people in hip-hop do one thing really well, but not everyone can do it all. Kingdom Crumbs can.”- KEXP
