North By North
North By North
Hailing from the land of brutal winters and deep dish pizza, North by North have developed their own brand of infectious, spastic yet finely-honed rock and roll. They seamlessly toe the line between 3 minute garage pop anthems and your dad’s favorite “prog-rock deep cuts” cassette tape, with plenty of hooks to spare.
Moon Darling
Moon Darling
There are those bands who recall an older time and place, a moment in history when music was more about saying something of substance than it was about counting the number of streams. Seattle psych rockers Moon Darling cling to this ideology, creating a bluesy sound that harkens back to that classic ’70s rock howl. By channeling the influence of bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple (with a little bit of weirdness thrown in for good measure), the band builds a kaleidoscopic version of those artists that remains relevant and reverent among all the gaudy imitations littering the modern musical landscape.
La Fonda
La Fonda
La Fonda combines 60s surf with 90s alt-rock nostalgia, reverb-inflected guitars, driving basslines, catchy melodies and honest lyrics. The indie pop band is led by sisters Veronica and Valerie Topacio, their dreamy, harmonically rich vocals exploring the highs and lows of love, longing and loss.

After years living on opposite sides of Washington, Veronica and Valerie took up residence in a downtown Seattle apartment in spring 2015, two blocks from Pike Place Market. They spent the summer busking and reconnected with long-time friend and old roommate guitarist, Jesse Cole. Singing in the living room with guitars was already a regular affair for the sisters—and Cole’s blue wave guitar style mixed perfectly with their harmonies.

Noise complaints and the threat of eviction led the sisters to rent a nearby practice space just outside downtown Seattle. That same week, swiping right on Tinder led the sisters and Cole to their musical soulmate, bassist Bryan Dever. Soon after, Dever’s childhood friend Patrick Hodge (keys) joined the ensemble and eventually La Fonda was complete with Mike Wellner (drums).

La Fonda released their debut EP Good Love in 2017 and have since toured all over the United States. Their songwriting and surf rock inspired guitar riffs share the same pop-infused veins as Best Coast, Rilo Kiley, and Japanese Breakfast.
